Wrecked Exotic – SUV vs Surf – Cadillac Escalade Tries Surfing California Waves, Fails
Posted by Admin on May 15, 2008
With these long summer days and cool ocean breezes upon us, it may be tempting to take your new SUV out for a spin on the sand. Perhaps a close up view of the sunrise over the Pacific Ocean is in order- That was exactly the idea shared recently by a man in San Clemente, California.
However, the guy must not have been one of California8217;s avid wave riders, as he displayed an incredible lack of tide awareness and little concern for sand consistency. Waves nearly washed away his Cadillac SUV as he parked it on the beach and the rising surf began pounding the car, authorities said.
Waves managed to reach the vehicle8217;s mirrors, but when deputies from the Orange County Sheriff8217;s Department arrived at the scene, the driver of the car was refusing to get out of the car and leave behind the 2008 Cadillac Escalade, said Lt. Ted Boyne.
When all was said and done, the Escalade owner was only cited for driving on the beach, as only service vehicles are generally permitted to roam freely on beaches.
This summer, we suggest car owners and beach bums alike keep all 4 tires on the pavement. Besides sand is hard to clean up and, saltwater is incredibly corrosive. You8217;d hate to end up on Wrecked Exotics too right?
