Posted by Admin on May 25, 2008

The Mindstorms Collection is a beautifully simple combination of sensors, actuators, and logic control that can be built and programmed to do some of the most devious and delightful things. Posted by Admin on May 19, 2008

Supposedly the newest version of the will ditch the big V12 for a smaller new . Now, thanks to AutoExpress, we have evidence to support that rumor. They’ve been kind enough to bring us these spy photos and video showing us up-close details of the new car.The technical specs are still unconfirmed, but speculators are suggesting the new engine will be the pumping out 680 HP from the dry-sump from the McLaren SLR 722 GT. I’m not sure why McLaren would be giving away its tech to , especially with the SLR production winding down, but of course we’re still in the rumor mill stages of things anyway. With 0-60 runs most likely in the 3 second range, your right foot will most likely NOT be disappointed with the loss of cylinders still. From the video, the first thing you’ll probably notice will be the less brutal sound of the new . The seems a lot quieter going around the track. But honestly, lovers will probably not be disappointed by the harmony produced from the new . But we will just have to wait and see what the final engine will actually be for this iconic car. Stay tuned for more information!

Lunatic Transplants Audi A8 4.2-Liter V8 Into 1981 Lotus Esprit

Posted by Admin on April 23, 2008

While most enginge transplant stories can go by mostly unnoticed, this is one of those rare occurances that you should stand up and give this man a round of applause. It takes a certain kind of crazy to remove the already nice-for-the-time 2.2 liter 4-cylinder engine and it’s Citroen gearbox from an otherwise impeccably well kept 1981 and shoehorn in a monster 4.2L German of aluminum and steel. Read more about this wild project thanks to the miracles of forums at Motorgeek.

I have to wonder how a 4.2L fit into a 4Cylinder space to begin with?

Check out the thread at Motorgeek here.
