F1 Champ Lewis Hamilton will get his McLaren F1 LM after 3 Championship Titles

McLaren F1 LM

Now that has secured the Formula One championship, supercar fans around the world are asking when he’ll get his hands on that rare LM. The incredibly valuable supercar – initially reported at $4 million but now apparently worth closer to 8 – was promised to the budding young driver if he won the title. However, the condition was that he win both the drivers title and, together with team-mate Heikki Kovalainen, lock up the constructors’ title for the team, as well. Although he won the drivers’ championship, the constructors’ crown went to arch-rivals Ferrari, but since chief is such a good sport, he’s renegotiated the terms.

If Hamilton manages to repeat his title victory with a hat-trick – that is, take another two championships – he’ll get his hands on the bright orange supercar. That’s quite a challenge, but Dennis called it a “small price to pay for three world championships.” Indeed, but by then will have a whole slew of supercars on the market for Lewis to choose from. In the meantime, he’d better keep his head down and focus on the prize.

McLaren Boss Ron Dennis Categorically Denies Setting Up Max Mosley

2008 F1 Mercedes Mclaren MP4-23 Team

has categorically denied allegations that he was in any way responsible for setting up the sex video scandal. It has been rumored that Team might have facilitated the News of the World investigation in response to the incredibly harsh $100 million fine they received from FIA last year.

This latest accusation was made by Radovan Novak, head of the Czech Automobile Association and one of Mosley’s closest friends. During a radio interview he was quoted as saying, “When the FIA, from the proposal of Mosley, fined someone significantly, then it gives you the feeling that it could be like that.”

Boss was quick to issue a response:

“I categorically deny that I have anything to do with the News of the World investigation into Mr. Mosley. Neither does anyone connected with the Group or the Vodafone Mercedes team, and neither does any agent or any other party acting on my behalf or anyone connected with the Group or the team. We are writing to Mr. Novak and are currently considering the appropriate route via which the remarks that have been attributed to him may be withdrawn or corrected.”

FIA’s general assembly will meet on June 3rd for a vote of confidence that will decide Mosley’s future with the organization. We’re betting the Pro--orgy Party will not make up a voting majority.
