Mercedes Benz C250 BlueEFFICIENCY Diesel Prime

has announced their latest C-Class car with its next-generation four-cylinder mill, uniquely titled “.” And the specs are certainly impressive: boasts 204 HP and 369 lb-ft of torque from the 2.2-liter four, while returning a combined 45 MPG and meeting EU5 emissions standards in the C-Class Prime form. states the engine will replace four separate diesels at the company, and be offered in the E-Class, the new GLK-Class and in a future E‑Class Coupe (yes, you heard me right – an E-Class Coupé is coming) in addition to the C-Class.

The technological highlights include a maximum ignition pressure of 200 bar; fourth-generation common-rail technology with a rail pressure increased to 2000 bar and a new piezo-injector with direct nozzle needle control (for greater flexibility in injection timing); larger, variable oil spray nozzles and a variable water pump; dual-stage supercharging; and a camshaft drive positioned in the rear. Equipped on the C 250 CDI , the new 2.2L engine is capable of propelling the C-Class from 0-62 mph in just 7.0 seconds and a top speed of 155 mph. But what makes the powerplant truly unique is it’s fuel consumption. The helps the C-Class consume an NEDC average of 5.2 liters of fuel per 100 km (or 45 mpg, for Americans). In addition, CO2 emissions weigh in at 138 g/km, enough to easily comply with future EU5 emissions standards.

Mercedes Benz C63 AMG Brabus B63S

Hot on the heels of RENNTech’s announcment, has given us their B63 S package to compete with the RENNtech version. So what have the folks bestowed upon us? It’s not quite RENNtech output, but by adding free-flow catalytic converters, high-flow air filters and tweaking the ECU with their new ignition and injection maps, bumps the 6.2-liter V8 from 457 HP to 530 HP, and sends the torque from 442 to 479 lb-ft and gives you enough to propel the newly tuned beast to a top speed of 197 MPH.

And if by some chance that isn’t enough, also offers a selection of limited slip differentials to satisfy the most discerning connoisseur; match one up with a similarly varied selection of multi-piston brake upgrades to achieve your desired level of “daaamn.” Full release after the jump.
