This clever commercial from Mercedes, designed to promote their new pre-safe brakes, presents a twist on the dangers of texting and driving.
Namely, DON’T TEXT AND DRIVE! (not even if you have a Mercedes-Benz)
In Maranello, Italy it doesn’t matter that your AudiR8 5.2 V10 has the chassis of an Italian thoroughbred underneath. Don’t drive it through the city of Maranello. It’s just wrong and the residents won’t like you very much.
Yet another jab by Audi’s marketing folk. This time showing that the AudiR8 5.2 V10 super car brings shame and horror to the residents of Ferrari’s home town. It’s okay little AudiR8, come see us. We promise we’ll welcome you with open arms.
We’re of the opinion that a gorgeous, high-performance, supercar would practically sell itself. Now add the Lamborghini badge into that equation, and we’ve wondering what the the marketing department has left to do? Well, apparently, they go around making videos like this.
I guess the lesson we’re taking away from this is the people that actually buy six-figure exotic cars aren’t usually the hardcore driving enthusiasts. Instead, they’re just rich guys looking for something loud and flashy to show off to the ladies. Read the rest of this entry »
The rivalry between Mercedes vs. BMW is a lot more intense in Germany and Europe than it is in the United States. Over the decades, the rivalry has not only intensified between the fans, but also between the employees of the 2 companies.
Well, this is BMW’s latest shot across the bow of Mercedes Benz as they started airing this commercial on GermanTV. It mocks the Mercedes-Benz stereotype of being…boring. (some of us call is relaxed).
Being a Die Hard Mercedes fan, I just have to point out that as a BMW Driver, he’s all alone.
For those not speaking german, the woman’s asking “Make a wish” or something to that effect.
