Mercedes SLC Gullwing Spy Shots

There’s been only rumors circulating that -Benz is in the process of resurrecting the legendary , but up until now, photographic evidence has revealed little about the model. But now, that’s all about to change, as our friends over at emercedesbenz have some incredible shots of the model from a number of different angles. To my knowledge, it’s the first time the new doors have been caught on camera.

Aside from these photos, facts about the remain scarce. Most believe the will be priced above the next SL range but well below the current SLR (so that’ll put it somewhere in the neighborhood of $200,000), with power expected to come from AMG’s 6.2-Liter V8 boasting an enhanced output of around 600 horsepower.

But at this point, it’s still anyone’s guess what the final specifications will be. We will of course keep you posted if we hear anything new; in the meantime, keep scrolling to see the -Benz spy photo collection in its entirety.

If anybody has a right to do this, MB does. But it’s a cue that I’m not sure fits on this particular design.
This car has no sense of retro or common design language with an old gull-wing – it just doesn’t connect. MB should do this, but maybe not on this model. Besides, look at the liftover height — perfect for KO’ing inattentive celebutards.

that said, am I the only one who would like one with camo, including rivets? M-B Max Beyond Thunderdome.

    Damn….Who needs McLaren?

Am I the only one who thinks this is kind of trite?

The original Gullwing featured those doors for a reason: The spaceframe chassis meant high sills, so without gullwing doors, access would have been a job for a contortionist. In this car, the doors serve no purpose other than contrived wank-factor.

Just think about driving this to a shopping centre and opening the gullwing doors. Feeling like a Marty McFly wannabe yet?
