While most cars have enough trouble trying to do a forward burnout that encases the surrounding area in smoke, this stallion has the power to liquefy the tires going forward or backwards!</p>
<p>While its a 1 minute video for a 12 second burnout, if you have the patience to watch the whole thing(or the smarts to move the slider bar), the last 10 seconds prove just what happens when you floor the car while its in reverse.<br />

<p>Named for the Top Fuel drag racer, Don &#8220;The Snake&#8221; <a href="http://www.autoalerts.com/tag/prudhomme" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with Prudhomme">Prudhomme</a>, who drove for Shelby in 1968, the Shelby GT500 <a href="http://www.autoalerts.com/tag/super-snake" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with Super Snake">Super Snake</a> <a href="http://www.autoalerts.com/tag/prudhomme-edition" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with Prudhomme Edition">Prudhomme Edition</a> features a lengthy listed of custom modifications. Aside from the 750 horsepower (800hp on race fuel) Kenne Bell-supercharged 5.4-liter V8, the car features a fiberglass full-tilt front end, Shelby rear drag wing, eight-point roll cage, six-piston front brakes, rear seat delete, coilover springs and Bogart wheels all in a street legal package you can purchase for $149,995. Now if $150K seems a bit high for you, Shelby will allow you to bring your own, previously purchased, GT500 in and they&#8217;ll do the retrofit for the low low price of $99,995. Production will be set at a very limited 100 examples&#8230;oh and if you didn&#8217;t catch it before, it&#8217;s STREET LEGAL.<br />

Carroll Shelby and Don &#8220;The Snake&#8221; <a href="http://www.autoalerts.com/tag/prudhomme" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with Prudhomme">Prudhomme</a> unveiled the program during a private reception at the Wally Parks NHRA Motorsports Museum in Pomona, Calif. The drag racing inspired 800 horsepower post title package was a collaboration between Shelby Autos and Don <a href="http://www.autoalerts.com/tag/prudhomme" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with Prudhomme">Prudhomme</a>, who successfully drove a top fuel car for Carroll Shelby in the 1968 NHRA season.</em></p>
<p><em>Each year, the Automobile Club of Southern California holds a dinner to support the Wally Parks NHRA Motorsports Museum on the first night of the Kragen O&#8217;Reilly NHRA Winternationals. In honor of the fortieth anniversary of the first race that Mr. <a href="http://www.autoalerts.com/tag/prudhomme" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with Prudhomme">Prudhomme</a> drove for Carroll Shelby, the Shelby Autos team unveiled the new drag racing package that they developed together over the past year.</em></p>
<p><em>&#8220;Don is an exceptional drag racer and I&#8217;m proud that he drove my first Top Fuel car in 1968,&#8221; noted Carroll Shelby. &#8220;By leveraging Don&#8217;s experience, we turned a really good car into a great drag racer that will beat up on the MOPAR and bow tie brigade right out of the box.&#8221;</em></p>
<p><em>The program is a post-title package for 2007-2010 <a href="http://www.autoalerts.com/tag/ford" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with Ford">Ford</a> Shelby GT500 cars already in the hands of owners. To create the <a href="http://www.autoalerts.com/tag/prudhomme-edition" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with Prudhomme Edition">Prudhomme Edition</a> <a href="http://www.autoalerts.com/tag/super-snake" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with Super Snake">Super Snake</a>, Shelby Autos pumps up the 5.4L supercharged engine to produce 800 hp on race fuel or 750 hp on 93 octane pump gas. The Shelby includes a Kenne Belle modified air intake sticking out of the hood in the tilt front end, a five-point Impact safety harness and a Borla side exhaust system. A front and rear adjustable BMR racing suspension and drag tires are included to improve traction during launches; optional street tires are available. For a more aggressive stance and improved aerodynamics, side lower rockers are incorporated. Only 100 total packages at $100,000 (not including car) will be offered.</em></p>
<p><em>&#8220;Working with Don on this project was a great experience for our design team,&#8221; noted Amy Boylan, president of Shelby Automobiles. &#8220;Carroll and Don earned their stripes in competition over the years, so we had to build a car that would continue their racing domination. <p><em>By the mid-1960s, Carroll Shelby and Don <a href="http://www.autoalerts.com/tag/prudhomme" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with Prudhomme">Prudhomme</a> were both at the top of their respective games. <a href="http://www.autoalerts.com/tag/prudhomme" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with Prudhomme">Prudhomme</a> was one of the winningest Top Fuel drag racers in the country. Shelby was a racer-turned-builder of Cobras, GT40s and Mustangs who won endurance and road racing championships worldwide. His company even offered drag racing packages for privateers to compete in their Cobra or Shelby Mustang on the strip.</em></p>

He won the race and drove the rest of the season under the Shelby banner.</em></p>

He was the first funny car driver to exceed 250 mph. In 1994, he began managing his own racing team, which won the Top Fuel championship in 2002 and 2003. <a href="http://www.autoalerts.com/tag/prudhomme" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with Prudhomme">Prudhomme</a> was inducted into the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America in 1991 and the International Motorsports Hall of Fame in 2000.</em></p>

<p><em>    40 years ago, the hottest, fastest sedan you could buy was Mercedes-Benz&#8217; 300SEL 6.3. By placing its largest engine in a mid-sized car, Mercedes&#8217; engineers created a luxurious sedan capable of out-performing some of the quickest sportscars of its day. The 6.3 remains a landmark sports sedan that continues to influence Mercedes&#8217; design direction. Nowhere is the influence of the 6.3 more evident than in <a href="http://www.autoalerts.com/tag/amg" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with AMG">AMG</a>&#8217;s current line of sports sedans. <a href="http://www.autoalerts.com/tag/amg" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with AMG">AMG</a>&#8217;s newest cars carry the first purpose-built, &#8220;all-<a href="http://www.autoalerts.com/tag/amg" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with AMG">AMG</a>&#8221; engine design in the company&#8217;s history, and the &#8220;63&#8243; designation they wear (S63, E63, etc.) is a direct reference to the 6.3.</em></p>
<p><em>Last year, Mercedes revisited the &#8220;bigger engine, smaller car&#8221; formula and introduced the C63 <a href="http://www.autoalerts.com/tag/amg" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with AMG">AMG</a>. Powered by the same 6.2 liter V8 as its bigger, more expensive S and E class siblings, the C63 promised heart-stopping performance at a bargain price &#8230; but, somewhere between concept and production, something happened: the C63 put out a &#8220;mere&#8221; 451 hp.</em></p>
<p><em>While the C63 is certainly no slouch, it didn&#8217;t make the same 507 or 518 horsepower that its E and S class siblings made. Some of the power difference can legitimately be blamed on more restrictive intake and exhaust paths &#8211; after all, the big V8 is a tight fit in the smaller C class, but this fails to explain how the same engine, when found under the hood of a <a href="http://www.autoalerts.com/tag/clk63" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with CLK63">CLK63</a> <a href="http://www.autoalerts.com/tag/amg" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with AMG">AMG</a> Cabrio, makes 475 hp.</em></p>
<p><em>Where did that 24 hp go?</em></p>
<p><em>&#8220;Mercedes restricted the car,&#8221; explains Hartmut Feyhl. &#8220;So, our first step in extracting more power from the C63 is to de-restrict the car.&#8221; Of course, in this modern age of software encryption and electronic obstacles, that kind of &#8220;de-restricting&#8221; is easier said than done &#8211; which is why Feyhl is exactly the man you want to talk to when it&#8217;s time to take your C63 to the next level.</em></p>
<p><em>Hartmut Feyhl was technical director at <a href="http://www.autoalerts.com/tag/amg" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with AMG">AMG</a> North America before forming his own company, <a href="http://www.autoalerts.com/tag/renntech" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with Renntech">RENNtech</a>, in 1989. Since then, Feyhl built a reputation as one of the world&#8217;s premier tuners and America&#8217;s foremost authority on Mercedes-Benz high performance.</em></p>
<p><em>It should come as no surprise, then, that <a href="http://www.autoalerts.com/tag/renntech" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with Renntech">RENNtech</a>&#8217;s first offering for the C63 was an effective ECU software upgrade (ECU1) to unleash the same &#8220;factory&#8221; 475 hp and 465 lb-ft (up from 451 and 443) as the CLK.</em></p>
<p><em>It should also come as no surprise, then, that <a href="http://www.autoalerts.com/tag/renntech" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with Renntech">RENNtech</a> didn&#8217;t leave it at that! &#8220;In a sense, the C63 is a return to the roots for Mercedes, and for <a href="http://www.autoalerts.com/tag/amg" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with AMG">AMG</a>, and also for <a href="http://www.autoalerts.com/tag/renntech" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with Renntech">RENNtech</a>,&#8221; says Feyhl. &#8220;It is a very special car, as the C class has grown to about the same size as the 6.3 and the W124 Hammer, but with much more power. Today, Brabus has given us a plethora of new photos showcasing the model along with a lengthy press release outlining what you can expect from the 730-horsepower C Class.</p>
<p>How can you describe Mercedes&#8217;s smallest sedan given an incredibly large (6.3L) v12? How about an absurd amount of power wrapped in a surreptitious shell would define the Brabus Bullit <a href="http://www.autoalerts.com/tag/black-arrow" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with Black Arrow">Black Arrow</a> well. Some would consider this 730 hp/537 kW V12, capable of producing a peak torque of 1,320 Nm, is already somewhat impractical in a C-Class, and then taking into account, piloting a vehicle capable of accelerating from 0-62mph in 3.9 seconds, 0-186mph in 24.5 seconds and achieving a top speed of more than 225 mph is even a bit&#8230;gratuitous. We think its exactly what the doctor ordered.</p>
<p>This is Brabus ladies and gentlemen, and Brabus doesn&#8217;t really care what the general population thinks.  Tuning, especially when attempting to improve on a brand that already sets the bar for the automotive world, is about taking an already spectacular model, and making it even better. And make no mistake, that&#8217;s exactly what Brabus has accomplished with the Brabus Bullit <a href="http://www.autoalerts.com/tag/black-arrow" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with Black Arrow">Black Arrow</a>.</p>
<p>In order to improve on the Mercedes C-Class, and their own Brabus Bullit, Brabus had to incorporate a wealth of upgrades that are second to none. Starting with the 730HP 6.3L V12, they then added a reinforced 5-speed transmission, height-adjustable coil-over suspension and a high-performance brake system all aimed at making the Bullit the most omnipotent C-Class ever produced.<br />

Once these performance enhancements were out of the way, the next step was to improve the Bullit&#8217;s aerodynamic and cooling properties, courtesy of carbon-fiber front and rear aprons, a new vented hood, a wider track courtesy of flared aluminum wheel arches and 19-inch Brabus Monoblock S light alloy wheels.</p>
<p>But that&#8217;s not all,! To complete the package, Brabus engineers also touched the inside of the Bullit <a href="http://www.autoalerts.com/tag/black-arrow" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with Black Arrow">Black Arrow</a>.  Features here include a hand-crafted Mastik and Nubuk leather interior; custom seats with carbon-fiber rear cover; and carbon-fiber components on the dashboard, center console and door panels, just for starters.</p>

<p>Numerous modifications to the reinforced body were necessary to install the turbocharged V12 engine in the C-Class engine bay. The BRABUS SV12 S Biturbo engine is derived directly from the BRABUS ROCKET and uses the latest Mercedes S 600 engine that has been completely reworked in the company-own engine building shop.</p>
<p>Nothing beats displacement except even more displacement: A crankshaft with longer stroke, larger cylinder bore, and special pistons and piston rods increase displacement of the twelve-cylinder three-valve engine from 5.5 to 6.3 liters (336 to 385 cu. in.).</p>
<p>Cylinder heads optimized for faster gas exchange and high-performance camshafts also contribute to the increase in power output. They are assisted by a more efficient dual turbocharging system, special manifolds, larger turbochargers and larger intercoolers. Because of space constraints in the C-Class body an entirely new stainless-steel high-performance exhaust system with low back-pressure metal catalysts had to be developed.</p>
<p>The BRABUS motor engineers used state-of-the-art engine test benches to program new mapping for engine electronics and on-board diagnostics. The new mapping ensures optimal power yield while meeting strict EURO IV emission limits.</p>
<p>The BRABUS SV12 S Biturbo displacement engine, lubricated like all BRABUS high-performance engines with ARAL Synthetic motor oil, produces 730 hp (720 hp SAE net) / 537 kW at just 5,100 rpm. The peak torque of 1,320 Nm (974 lb-ft) is limited in-car electronically to 1,100 Nm (811 lb-ft).</p>
<p>Power is transferred to the rear wheels via a reinforced five-speed automatic transmission and a BRABUS limited-slip differential with a locking rate of 40 percent. Customers can choose from two final drive ratios. The BRABUS BULLIT <a href="http://www.autoalerts.com/tag/black-arrow" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with Black Arrow">BLACK ARROW</a> features all modern driving dynamics systems such as ABS, ASR and ESP.</p>
<p>The matte-black stealth street rocket delivers unique performance: Just 3.9 seconds pass for the sprint from 0 &#8211; 100 km/h (62 mph), 200 km/h (124 mph) is reached after just 10.49 seconds. And after just 24.5 seconds the car shatters the 300-km/h barrier (186 mph). Top speed is more than 360 km/h (225 mph).</p>
<p>At these speeds favorable aerodynamic properties are absolutely essential. The BRABUS BULLIT <a href="http://www.autoalerts.com/tag/black-arrow" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with Black Arrow">BLACK ARROW</a> was honed to perfection in the wind tunnel. The BULLIT front apron features large air ducts to supply cooling air for radiators and front brakes. Its sophisticated design further reduces lift on the front axle. Its aerodynamic counterparts in the rear are a three-piece rear spoiler and a rear apron with integrated diffuser. Both front and rear aprons are made from especially light yet highly robust autoclave-baked carbon fiber.</p>
<p>A wider track optimizes directional stability so elementary at speeds beyond 300 km/h. The BRABUS designers have styled aluminum wheel arch flares for front and rear axle. They are seamlessly melded to the production body and add six centimeters (2.4 inches) to the C-Class width. BRABUS rocker panels optimize the airstream along the sides. They also feature integrated entry lights that make entering and exiting the vehicle safer in the dark.</p>
<p>The visual appearance of the BRABUS BULLIT <a href="http://www.autoalerts.com/tag/black-arrow" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with Black Arrow">BLACK ARROW</a> is further characterized by the new hood. Its integrated ‘gills’ are not just distinctive features, they also ensure the engine’s thermal health.</p>
<p>The wheel arch flares provide space for especially wide matte-black BRABUS Monoblock S light-alloy wheels with high-performance tires from technology partners YOKOHAMA or Pirelli. The 9.5Jx19 wheels on the front axle are shod with size 265/30 ZR 19 tires. The rear axle is fitted with size 10Jx19 wheels and size 285/30 ZR 19 tires.</p>
<p>The height-adjustable coil-over suspension was developed specifically for the BRABUS BULLIT <a href="http://www.autoalerts.com/tag/black-arrow" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with Black Arrow">BLACK ARROW</a>. The gas-pressure shocks feature ten selectable settings each for bound and rebound. They provide a sporty yet comfortable ride and safe handling in any situation. Sport stabilizers reduces body roll to a minimum during fast cornering.</p>
<p>The BRABUS high-performance brake system can handle even the most extreme stress. It features 12-piston aluminum fixed calipers on the front axle that grip vented and grooved 380 x 37 millimeter (15 x 1.46 inches) brake discs. The rear axle stops with 360 x 28 millimeter (14.2 x 1.1 inches) discs and six-piston aluminum fixed calipers.</p>
<p>Exclusive individuality also abounds in the interior of the BRABUS automobile: The standard equipment package includes a fully leather interior hand-crafted in the company-own upholstery shop from the finest Mastik and Nubuk leathers.</p>
<p>The custom BULLIT seats offer a perfect combination of comfort and lateral support. Their carbon-fiber rear covers lend the interior an especially sporty feel. But there&#8217;s more than that! There&#8217;s the high-performance brake system, the track-optimized adjustable threaded suspension, the specially-developed cooling systems&#8230; the list goes on&#8230;  But, for those of you whose always looking for more, the nice boys at Renntech have introduced a tuning package for the <a href="http://www.autoalerts.com/tag/clk" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with CLK">CLK</a> 63 Black Series  &#8211; one that extract a bit more power and drivability from an already supremely capable vehicle.</p>
<p>The magicians at Renntech have managed to increase power output of the CLK63 AMG Black Series to 550 horsepower, and even more impressive, they&#8217;ve also managed to deliver an additional 45-60 lb-ft of torque between 2400 and 5000 rpm.  According to the founder of Renntech, Hartmut Feyhl:  &#8220;Real-world performance is all about torque, not so much about a peak horsepower number at very high rpm.  It can be very easy to build high rpm horsepower, but to get instant throttle response and mid-<br />
range acceleration it is more difficult, and this is where customers really want to feel that improvement.&#8221;</p>
<p>But again, there&#8217;s more than just engine power to look at. Next, the CLK63 Black Series&#8217; handling was tweaked. Renntech has somehow lowered the car an extra 3/4&#8243; and added carbon-fiber strut braces and fully-adjustable camber bushings at all 4 corners.  But wait, there&#8217;s more! To improve aerodynamic efficiency, an adjustable carbon fiber rear wing and a front splitter/rear diffuser combination were added, and completing the package are some high performance brake pads and stainless-steel braided lines (ensuring an ample amount of stopping power, should the need arise).</p>
<p>While Renntech&#8217;s tuning package isn&#8217;t necessary to experience the thrill and exhilaration in your CLK63 AMG Black Series, it is a nice and simple way to experience more of what your dominating Mercedes already provides.</p>

<p><em>RENNTECH for the Mercedes-Benz CLK63 AMG Black Series</em></p>
<p><em>Mercedes-Benz made a big splash with the introduction of its CLK63 AMG Black Series coupe last year. The aggressive &#8220;F1 safety-car&#8221; look gave the 500 hp <a href="http://www.autoalerts.com/tag/clk" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with CLK">CLK</a><br />
Black a visual edge that the CLK55 AMG lacked, and the Black Series&#8217; suspension and brakes were in a decidedly different league compared to other Mercedes.</em></p>
<p><em>Impressive spec sheet notwithstanding, some customers will still believe that 500 hp is not enough, and for those select few who find the <a href="http://www.autoalerts.com/tag/clk" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with CLK">CLK</a> a bit tame, there is always<br />
RENNTECH.</em></p>
<p><em>Established in 1989 by Hartmut Feyhl (ex technical director: AMG North America), RENNTECH quickly made a name for itself with high-powered magazine <a href="http://www.autoalerts.com/tag/tuner" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with Tuner">tuner</a>-<br />
shootout cars that were reliable enough to actually be driven from RENNTECH&#8217;s home in South Florida thousands of miles to events in Texas and Michigan. For<br />
the <a href="http://www.autoalerts.com/tag/clk" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with CLK">CLK</a> Black, Feyhl told his crew to develop the same kind of &#8220;real-world&#8221; performance upgrades that made his cars so famous to begin with.</em></p>
<p><em>&#8220;Real-world performance is all about torque, not so much about a peak horsepower number at very high rpm,&#8221; explains Feyhl. &#8220;It can be very easy to build high rpm<br />
horsepower, but to get instant throttle response and mid-range acceleration it is more difficult, and this is where customers really want to feel that improvement.&#8221; To build<br />
that improvement, RENNTECH adds long-tube headers and a motorsports style exhaust to the already-potent 6.2 liter engine, tying it all together with RENNTECH&#8217;s own<br />
ECU software, sharpening throttle response and boosting 550 peak hp. The real story, however, is drivability &#8211; and this is where the RENNTECH tuning package shines,<br />
delivering an additional 45-60 lb-ft of torque between 2400 and 5000 rpm.</em></p>
<p><em>To &#8220;sharpen&#8221; the car even further, RENNTECH fine-tuned the CLK63 Black Series&#8217; suspension, lowering the car 3/4&#8243; and adding carbon-fiber strut braces front and rear. To<br />
enhance mechanical grip in fast corners, RENNTECH also added fully-adjustable camber bushings at all four corners. Aerodynamic stability is also greatly enhanced with an adjustable carbon-fiber rear wing element and a front splitter/rear diffuser combination to manage underbody airflow, building usable downforce and (adjustable) aerodynamic balance at speed, while directing cooling air to the Black Series&#8217; huge AMG brake rotors &#8211; themselves enhanced with high-performance pads and stainless-steel braided lines. The result is a hard-core CLK63 from RENNTECH that does the unthinkable: it makes the standard CLK63 seem a bit soft.</em></p>

Included is a fully-adjustable suspension and a handful of engine mods that bring engine output up to 406 hp and a whopping 460 lb.-ft. of torque.<br />
Of course, the extra 100HP doesn&#8217;t come cheap. <p>To achieve the desired increase in power output of 128 hp / 94 kW for the fast-revving engine that normally produces 507 hp / 373 kW, <a href="http://www.autoalerts.com/tag/g-power" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with G-Power">G-POWER</a> has developed a high-tech supercharging system. The system uses one belt-driven ASA T1-12 compressor for each cylinder bank. Contrary to conventional mechanical chargers that waste a large portion of the additional power on being driven themselves, the ASA compressor has an efficiency rate of up to 80 percent. The ASA charger is also small, which allows <a href="http://www.autoalerts.com/tag/g-power" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with G-Power">G-POWER</a> to install two of them in the tight confines of the <a href="http://www.autoalerts.com/tag/m6" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with M6">M6</a> engine bay. With a maximum airstream volume of up to 1,200 kg per hour per cylinder bank the compressors are designed for an even higher power output than the limited boost pressure of 0.4 bars featured at the <a href="http://www.autoalerts.com/tag/m6" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with M6">M6</a> HURRICANE convertible. In comparison: The <a href="http://www.autoalerts.com/tag/g-power" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with G-Power">G-POWER</a> M5 V10 HURRICANE based on the BMW M5 with a boost pressure of 0.7 bars is producing 730 hp and holds the record for the fastest street legal BMW with a top speed of 360 km/h.</p>
<p>The pre-compressed charge air is cooled down in a highly efficient dual-flow water-to-air intercooler system that is mounted above the engine. This measure optimizes power yield, throttle response and also ensures the engine&#8217;s thermal health. Specially developed mapping for engine electronics and SMG gearbox controls coordinate the perfect interaction of all new components.</p>
<p>The supercharged <a href="http://www.autoalerts.com/tag/m6" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with M6">M6</a> V10 engine produces its maximum power output of 635 hp / 467 kW at 7,300. The high efficiency rate of the two ASA superchargers, each spinning at up to 100,000 rpm and more, results in a torque diagram that rises early and at 3,600 rpm already surpasses the production engine&#8217;s peak torque of 520 Nm, delivered at 6,100 rpm. The new peak of 635 Nm is reached at 6,300 rpm. This special characteristic is, apart from the outstanding reliability and long life qualities, the reason why ALPINA features the ASA superchargers in their models B5, B6 and B7, as well.</p>
<p>Acceleration performance benefits from the perfect performance characteristic accordingly. With a sprint time from rest to 100 km/h of 4.6 seconds and to 200 km/h in 11,9 seconds the 2-ton convertible accelerates like a true sports car. The 300-km/h barrier is shattered after 34,5 seconds from standstill. Contrary to the production car the <a href="http://www.autoalerts.com/tag/g-power" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with G-Power">G-POWER</a> HURRICANE is not limited electronically to a top speed of 250 km/h but to 320 km/h. The determining factors therefore are weight, tyres and most important the soft top of the <a href="http://www.autoalerts.com/tag/m6" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with M6">M6</a> convertible.</p>
<p>The enormous performance places extreme demands on aerodynamics, tires, suspension and brakes.</p>

<p>Brabus has given the <a href="http://www.autoalerts.com/tag/sl" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with SL">SL</a> the full wheel/tire, interior, and styling packages. Along with backing up those aggressively enhanced looks with an assortment of <a href="http://www.autoalerts.com/tag/tuning" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with Tuning">tuning</a> packages capable of providing more power than even Captain Kirk could ever ask for.</p>
<p>The Brabus Flagship is their SV12 S Biturbo engine, developed originally for the BRABUS ROCKET, the world&#8217;s fastest sedan, appears to have been created by someone with a severe hatred for tires. The largest one features vented and cross-drilled front discs measuring 375 x 36 mm (14.8 x 1.4 inches), and 12-piston fixed calipers. The rear discs measure 355 x 28 mm (14.0 x 1.1 inches) and come with six-piston fixed calipers.</em></p>
<p><em>BRABUS also customizes the interior of the two-seater by upping the level of luxury.
