2010 BMW X5 M & X6 M
Feast your eyes on the new BMW X5 M and BMW X6 M, both powered by BMW’s brand-new 555 HP 4.4-liter V8 M engines, and are the first all-wheel-drive models in the history of the BMW M series.
Both the new BMW X6 M and BMW X5 M, debuted at the New York Auto Show, are powered by a newly-developed 4.4-liter V8 M engine delivering 555 HP at 6,000 rpm a whopping 500 lb-ft of torque from 1,500 to 5,650 rpm. The new M engine is the first with a pulse-tuned exhaust manifold encompassing both rows of cylinders combined with high-performance twin-scroll twin turbo technology.
All that twin turbo goodness helps both of these SUV-type-things accelerate from 0-to-60 MPH in 4.5 seconds. But the real story here is from a handling standpoint, as both vehicles, with careful tuning of their xDrive systems, are the first BMW M vehicles with all-wheel-drive capability.

The German automaker says the recall includes all models of the 2006 3 Series, the 2004-2006 5 Series, and the 2004-2006 X3 compact sport utility vehicle.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) said on their website Wednesday that small cracks could possibly develop in the seat detection mat that could lead to the front passenger air bags to be deactivated.
But that’s not all…

Thanks to a leak over at BMW, we now have official photos of both the 2009 BMW M3 sedan and 2009 BMW M3 coupe. Both the E90 and E92 benefit from the 2009 BMW 3-series facelift, which means the bumpers, lights and interiors are cleaned up to make them a little less awkward. While this will probably do nothing more than piss off people who just paid up to $100,000 for this year’s model, we think its a good move.
Hit the jump for full pictures of both the M3 Sedan and the M3 coupe.

With the success of the Europe-only E46 BMW M3 CSL, BMW now is working on a follow up, applying the same approach to the E90 chassis. Like its predecessor, the 2010 BMW M3 CSL will drop most of its standard equipment to focus on weight savings and boost power.
More details after the jump.
